Removing the outsiders from your follower’s list, and many other methods.

I have also listed four basic steps you can block people from seeing who you follow on Instagram in this guide and they are listed below.

Ways You Can Hide Who You Follow On Instagram

To hide your following list on Instagram, you need to set your Instagram account to private if you haven’t already.

This is because if you set your account to private on Instagram, no visitor will be able to view the list of people you follow!

Another method is to block the person or persons completely on Instagram.

Although this is a bit drastic as it will completely hide your profile including your photos, videos, reels, and even your bio from being seen by those you blocked.

That is the alternative way to hide your following or followers list on Instagram.

Here are four major ways to block people from seeing who you follow or who follow you on Instagram:

1. Make your Instagram account private

This may be a bit of a stretch because this method will only hide your following list from outsiders but not from people who are already following you.

However, if you do not have a problem with your already followers seeing who you follow and who follows you on Instagram, just with the non-followers then this is a fix for you.

To set your Instagram account to private, you can take the following steps:

Go to your profile page by clicking on the tiny icon of your profile photo that is below your screen, on your right-hand side.

Click on the off-canvas icon on the top right corner of your screen.

Note that if you trying to access this on an android device, the “off-canvas” icon looks like 3 short horizontal lines.

On the new page, you will see “Settings” tap on it and you will then see a list of other options including “Security, Notification…

Click on privacy and the first option you’ll see is a button to make your account private.

Toggle on the button to turn on or turn off your account privacy.

Keep in mind that if you have a professional Instagram account, you will not be able to set your account to private.

For the aforementioned methods to work, you will need a personal Instagram account.

2. You can block the person or persons

The second method on how to hide your following list on Instagram is to block the person or people completely from seeing your profile.

You do this by going to their profile page on Instagram, click on the 3 dots on the top right corner of your screen.

Then select “block” to block them from seeing your profile on Instagram ever again.

Except unless they decide to create a burner account and try and follow you from there.

However, this rarely happens because Instagram lets you select an option that allows you to block a person and any account they might create in the future.

Yes you can. You can do this by going to their profile and muting them.

You can alternate between muting their posts or stories or you can just mute both!
