- Click on the three lines at the top right corner of your screen.
- Then click on “Settings” under “Settings and Privacy”.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the list of options under “Settings” and select “Accounts Centre”.
- Click on “Accounts” under “Account Settings”, here you would see options to add both your Facebook and Instagram accounts, this would connect them.
- Click on the arrow icon at the top left corner to go back to the previous page, then click on “Sharing Across Profiles”. Here you can choose which account you would like to use to share content like posts, and stories across both platforms.
- Go back by clicking the arrow icon at the top left corner, then select “Logging In With Accounts”. Here there are two options, 1- to allow both accounts to log into one another, and 2- to choose which account can log into each other, then select which option best suits you.
2. Connecting through Instagram.
- Open the Instagram app on your mobile device and log in.
- Click on your “Profile” icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.
- Click on the three lines at the top right corner of your screen.
- Then select the “Settings and Privacy” option in the pop-up menu.
- Then click on “Account Centre” which is the first option in the “Settings and Privacy” menu.
- Click on “Accounts”, here you will find the option to add and connect both your Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Click the arrow icon at the top left corner of your screen, then select the “Profiles” option.
Here you can manage your profile info of both your Facebook and Instagram accounts, and use the same info across your Facebook and Instagram accounts.
After connecting your Facebook and Instagram accounts and setting one of the two platform to control the other, you can see and chat with your active friends that you chat with through the Facebook Messenger.
Your friends that you message on both platforms would also see your active status, so if you are active on Facebook, it will show to your friends that you have on both platforms.
When both platforms are connected, and controller is enabled, you can share posts through Facebook and it would appear on Instagram.
And also to share on Instagram and it would appear on Facebook, this will happen without you needing to leave one app to enter the other.
