After watching thousands of TikTok videos about “Grow a Garden hacks”, I had to test a few of them…
But still…I had questions.
Like, is the raccoon really duplicating stuff?
Are sprinklers low-key OP if you leave them on overnight?
In this post, you will see my review on some of the Grow a garden hacks trending on TikTok currently, if they work, if it is a scam , and more.
The Hacks I Tried
1. Raccoon Dupe Glitch (Mushroom Trick)
I planted a mushroom, brought in a raccoon pet, and waited to see if it duplicated.
It didn’t.
My verdict: It’s either a visual bug or just bad timing.
Didn’t work for me, hasn’t worked for most players.
Probably patched or just fake.
2. The Sprinkler Method
This one said to leave sprinklers running, then come back later to big juicy growths.
My verdict: Actually works. But only if you harvest and replant while sprinklers are active.
Just leaving them on and going AFK (having the game running in the background) won’t do much.

3. Stacking Duplicate Sprinklers
The idea for this “hack” is: more sprinklers, more magic.
So I put two of the same type down.
My verdict: Nope. Only one sprinkler of each type counts. If you place two Basics, only one works. Better to mix types (like Basic + Advanced).
4. Sprinkler Time Pauses Offline
I tested going offline and coming back to see if sprinklers kept running.
My verdict: This one is true. Sprinklers stop when you log out, so they don’t waste time. But they also don’t grow anything unless you harvest and replant first.
Grow a Garden Hacks That Actually Works
Let’s talk about the only hack in the videos that’s actually useful: the Sprinkler Method.

Here’s how to do it properly:
- Plant something (like Grapes or Pumpkins).
- Wait until it’s fully grown.
- Place your sprinklers after it’s grown.
- Harvest it.
- Then either:
- Stay online and let it auto-grow again with sprinklers, or
- Log out for 20+ minutes, come back, and harvest again.
Repeat until your sprinkler runs out of time.
Reminder: If you place sprinklers before harvesting, they affect the next growth cycle. If you place them after, they won’t help that batch. Timing matters.
But don’t waste resources:
- Only one of each sprinkler type works. Stacking five Basic Sprinklers doesn’t help.
- You can stack different types (like Basic + Master + Flower), and they all work together.
Grow a Garden Tiktok Hacks That Don’t Work
- Raccoon mushroom dupe: Looks cool, but doesn’t actually do anything.
- Sprinkler stacking: Extra copies don’t help. It’s not Pokémon.
- Leaving the game without setting it up right: If you don’t harvest first, going offline does nothing for growth.
Conclusion
Most of the TikTok videos about Grow a Garden hacks had some fun ideas, but most of them either don’t work or are just scam.
The Sprinkler Method, when done right, is still one of the best and easiest ways to farm.
In summary, don’t believe everything you see on TikTok.
