Frostpunk 2 is finally leaving PC territory and making its console debut on September 18, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S—exactly one year after the PC launch on September 20, 2024.
Console owners can also access the game instantly via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Two collector editions are available: the Icebreaker Edition includes a pop‑up diorama of New London, an art book, and the novella Warm Flesh.
The Whiteout Edition adds DLC access, art cards, a keychain, stickers, and a patch.
Early impressions note that UI has been reworked for gamepad input—city building, resource management, and faction decisions feel smooth under control mapping.
As DLC titled Spectrum and Aurora roll out later in 2025 and another in 2026—with Frostpunk 1886 (a full remake using Unreal Engine 5) set for 2027—this console release layers on both polish and anticipation.
