Getting a “Pet gifting is disabled!” message in Grow a Garden?
Here’s what the second line says: “Please be patient while we work on reenabling it.”
Pet gifting is an important feature.
Without it, you cannot trade or send pets to others.
Many players use the Grow a Garden Discord server to trade, so this error gets in the way.
Here is why it’s happening and when it might be fixed.
Why is Pet Gifting Disabled in Grow a Garden?
Pet gifting is disabled because of a bug that lets players duplicate pets.
Jandel, the game creator, confirmed this on June 7, 2025.
A duplication glitch was found and used by scripters. To stop it, gifting was turned off.
It’s a temporary change while they work on fixing the problem.
When Will Pet Gifting Be Back?
Grow a Garden gave an update on July 7, 2025, saying the issue was fixed and they are testing it before adding it back.
On July 9, 2025, pet gifting was turned back on with some small changes and fixes.
So if you’re still seeing the error, make sure your game is updated.
There is nothing you can do to fix the error yourself.
It was a server-side issue.
