After community feedback, FromSoftware’s Elden Ring: Nightreign officially adds duo‑expeditions in Patch 1.02, launching on July 30/31, 2025, depending on your region.
Duo Mode Details:
- Use your solo or trio experience — but now, two-player runs are available with proper scaling in XP and enemy difficulty, ensuring balanced challenge for duos.
- UI upgrades: revamped Relics filtering by stats like color, effect, and character benefits makes build customization far easier.
- A fun trailer moment mocks the “Evergaol meta” by showing a character rushing wrongly into a locked area—FromSoftware poking fun at their own community habits.
Patch Launch Time:
- Scheduled after 10:00 CEST / 1:00 PDT on the planned release date (July 31 after prior delay over tsunami warnings).
- Patch 1.02 is now live across all platforms; version labeled Regulation 1.02 in-game.
Why It’s a Big Deal:
Elden Ring Nightreign’s update truly opens the game to players who prefer co-op with just one friend.
Add the UI fix and lighter boss health scaling, and 1.02 arguably becomes the biggest post-launch overhaul yet.
