Trying to age pets faster in Grow a Garden?
After about level 30, pets start aging very slowly.
In this guide, I will show you how to boost pet XP using treats, tools, and pets that help with aging.
Grow a Garden Pet Aging Tips
As you level up more pets, you’ll notice that aging starts off quick but slows down a lot after a certain point.
Once your pets hit around level 30, the XP bar feels like it barely moves.
If you’re trying to age pets to trade or unlock new equip slots, this slowdown can be frustrating.
But there are a few tricks that can help you speed things up.
Let’s get into it:
1. Use pet treats
Pet treats give pets an XP boost for a long time.
You can sometimes find medium treats in the Gear Shop.
You can also craft small treats at the Crafting Table.
2. Use helpful pets
The Sea Turtle and Dilophosaurus both help pets age faster.
If you have one of them, use it to get more XP over time.
Conclusion
Pet gifting was turned off because of a duplication bug but is now back in the game as of July 9, 2025.
If you want to age your pets faster, use treats and helper pets like the Sea Turtle or Dilophosaurus.
Keep checking the Gear Shop (found at the opposite end of the play area to the Seed Shop and Sell Stand, next to the Quest Giver in Grow the Garden.) and Crafting Table for pet treats to make progress easier.
